Herbal products often get overlooked when it comes to more severe sleep issues, but there's a lot of research and validation to the potential for improved sleep through these routes.

One of these aforementioned studies (Maroo et al., 2013) indicated that a combination of valerian, passionflower, and hops taken for two weeks worked as well as the sleep drug z0lp!dem (Amb!en) for insomnia patients and had fewer side effects and a higher degree of safety.

Our new sleep blend, Sandman, is a blend that takes that research and puts it into a useable format. Sandman is stronger than our Sleep Tight Tincture (Level I) and is particularly helpful when sleep is being disrupted by tension states which are frequently associated with hormone shifts like menopause and for people that naturally run a little cooler temperature (aka: Vata).

| VALERIAN | Improves sleep through it's action on the GABA receptors that influence brain function.

| LEMON BALM | Calming, soothing, elevates mood, eases stress.

| PASSIONFLOWER | Another GABA-affecting plant, it lowers the activity of some brain cells, making you feel more relaxed.

| HOPS | Effective in reducing nocturnal activity as well as preserving the circadian activity/rest rhythm.

| POPPY | Paired with Valerian, Poppy promotes sleep through some of the same actions on the GABA receptors.
